We're thrilled to announce multiple vacancies within our telecommunication infrastructure team. As a Telecommunications Field Engineer at LTTE, you'll be at the forefront of exciting projects spanning the length and breadth of New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and maintain intricate telecommunications networks and infrastructure.
• Set up RF telecommunications equipment along with associated cabling and kits.
• Master the construction of composite, steel, and wood supporting structures.
• Expand existing structures by adding composite, steel, or wood components.
• Shape telecommunications cable pathways, including accessing confined spaces and trenches.
• Soar to heights of up to 80m for installations on rooftops and RF towers.
• Embrace abseiling techniques for equipment and cabling installations.
• Conquer Elevated Work Platforms (Boomlifts, Knuckle Booms, Cherry Pickers).
• Champion the assembly, installation, and maintenance of antenna systems.
• Execute extensive travel within New Zealand and the Pacific Islands for network projects.

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in leading OEMs like Nokia, Huawei, Samsung, Ericsson BTS.
• Expertise in Cellular/Radio Site construction, installation, and testing methodologies.
• Fault-finding finesse with Antenna and cable analysers, PIM testers, and spectrum analysers.
• Adept with Optical/Fibre Optic test equipment and splicing techniques.
• Skilled in Antenna alignment using compass or AAT (Antenna Alignment Tool).
• Prowess in PIM and interference investigation.
• Drive testing/post-processing ace with site conformance/performance testing.
• Cellular configuration know-how (PSC, PCI, EARFCN, Channel setups).
• Transmission networks pro – Fibre Optic and Microwave installation and configuration.
• Handy with hand tools and general site construction tasks.
• Safety-first mindset; readiness for further Telecommunications Rigger training.
• Administrative acumen; adept at compiling as-builts.
• Time-conscious and quality-focused.
• Computer-savvy with programming proficiency.
